Our Easter Surprise!

We were visiting my grandma, in California, for Easter. Easter morning my kids found some surprises in their baskets.

The first surprise was that there were five baskets out (we have four kids).

Then they found the shirts and figured out the surprise!

Yep. The Andersons are adding a version 5.0 to the mix. :-)

Another surprise we had on Easter was to be there, sitting at my grandma's table, when we felt an earthquake that lasted about 40 seconds. It was a 7.2. It was centered near Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. About 120 miles away from us. It was the first time anyone in my family had ever felt an earthquake (except for my family that lives there, of course). My kids were all hyper and excited. Made for a very exciting Easter.

We also had another "first" over the weekend. We went to Disneyland for the first time. I have been many times in my life, though not for about 15 years. But my kids and husband had never been. It was sooooo fun!! I will have to share more about that later!

  1. Congratulations! I have really good intuition about people being pregnant... I totally told Jason last week I thought you were pregnant. Anderson 5.0... Grant didn't have anything to do with that, did he?

Earthquakes scare me. Everytime I visit California, I think there's going to be a big earthquake and I'm going to die because I'm a bad person. I know, I'm trying to get over that quirk. ;)

  2. Alena, Congratulations! When are you due? Grandma called about the earthquake, glad you were all ok. Sounds like it was a fun trip!

  3. Congrats! That is so cute 5.0! I bet the kids are excited.
Travis felt the earthquake yesterday. We were at his parents house and felt himself shake. The lights were shaking. It was crazy.

  4. Congratulations! Version 5.0 -- I love it! What a fun way to share the news with your childeren...they'll never forget this!

  5. Lena that is so exciting! 5kiddos! and those shirts are so cute! Disneyland too! i'm so jealous!

  6. Congratulations!!! That's so exciting!

Look like you had such a fun Easter!

  7. Wahoo! I'm so excited to see and hear all about your Disneyland trip! It's been too long.... as usual.... wanna sew sometime this week? :D

  8. Ian told me you guys were in Disneyland when he called Grant and I felt sooo jealous of you, but also excited for your family to be able to go on a fun vacation. You deserve it.

And CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I need some details. How far along are you? When's the due date? Was it a suprise or planned? etc. Anyways so happy for you.

  9. What fun! 5 kids is work but oh so rewarding! You'll make a good mamma of 5! What a cute way to announce it! When is your due date? Way jealous of your trip to Disney. I want to go back with my kiddos soon. Sounds like things are good for you guys!
