10 things I am thankful for right now:
- A warm house
- My husband. He's so selfless. So good to his family.
- A nice run this morning - wet road, but barely any rain falling down.
- A date with my husband tonight
- My husband's job and the flexibility that he has to work from home a few days a week.
- My laser printer
- Internet and email
- Good health
- Arizona's winter weather
- Older kids that can play with/entertain/help/teach the younger kids.
I am trying to think of something I can do to help with some relief in Haiti. What are you doing? I'd love some ideas.
Also, I really appreciate your comments about my "Confessions" post. I'm really okay. I think it sounded worse. Sometimes you just need to get it off your chest, though. Thanks for listening (reading). You are all such good friends. Thanks for the support! You are wonderful women and I am grateful for your friendships (that should've been one of my "ten", eh?) and good advice. {And I am definitely up for a girls trip sometime! Anyone know someone with a cabin up north?}
Have a fabulous weekend!
This post made me smile - thanks!
ReplyDeleteSorry I never went back and posted on your "confessions" but I guess we talked a whole lot on the phone... that counts?!?
I, too, get that sinking feeling that there's NO way I will ever establish order in the home unless I banish all these messy male creatures to the backyard for a week. And even then, you know all your hard work will be ruined once they're 2 steps in the door again.... ugh. Don't worry, it will come. I think it's a never-ending process instead of a one-time achievement. Can't shovel the sidewalk while it's still snowing, right? **sigh**
Afton has a cabin she's offering for rent and I think our little family is going to try to go sometime soon... but a bunch of girls would be AWESOME too!!! Let's do it. If we all split the cost it will be next to nothing. Woo hoo!
Oh don't talk about girls trips with out me. I might start crying. (:
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to be very mindful of my blessings these days too.
At our branch the pres told us that under humanitarian aid we can put Haiti relief and the money will go there. I'm wondering if you can do that in AZ. You know that if you are giving your money to the church it's going to be used wisely.
Amy, I totally relate. And, I would love to see about Afton's cabin!
ReplyDeleteDeb, I so wish you could make it back for a girls weekend! That would be awesome! But, probably not realistic. :-( And thanks for the donation idea. I think that's what I'll do. I really wish I wasn't so busy with life to make something/sell something, etc. to raise funds. But, I know that giving money to the church to help assist in Haiti relief efforts, will be well spent. Thanks!
