I wished I could have with Faith but that just didn't feel right considering the circumstances. If I have another one, I want to have it at home! That would be the perfect end!! Again, HOMEBIRTH rocks! Anyway you have a baby though it is a MIRACLE and a BLESSING!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2881946726572684504.post-57214302482466551642010-05-11T17:24:10.561-07:002010-05-11T17:24:10.561-07:00What an amazing birth story! Her writing is so vivid, and I found myself laughing at times as I read...and then found myself in tears as I read about the moment when her daughter entered the world.

I didn't realize you had home births, and I'm so impressed and envious! I went the mainstream, medicalized hospital route with my son, and wound up with a c-section that was more than likely unnecessary. Now that I've learned so much more about birth, I'd give anything to have a homebirth with my next, but it doesn't look like I'm a candidate for that. Have you posted your birth stories? I'd love to read them!

Thank you so much for your kind words after Na's passing. It has been a blessing to be so close to family, and I can feel just how much we've pulled together over the past several weeks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2881946726572684504.post-17022008003023947772010-05-09T14:43:32.298-07:002010-05-09T14:43:32.298-07:00That was an amazing story. I don't think I could do that, but I think people that do are brave. I did have Hunter without anything and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I felt so empowered for having done it.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15541154940295129738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2881946726572684504.post-59887775261582794302010-05-08T22:54:11.867-07:002010-05-08T22:54:11.867-07:00I'm so interested in doing a home birth althou...I'm so interested in doing a home birth although my husband is not as enthusiastic. I'm amazed by women, including yourself, that have natural births!Tiffany Hayneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10500362574245366958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2881946726572684504.post-86111208327479742902010-05-08T22:41:37.233-07:002010-05-08T22:41:37.233-07:00So, we were all ready for a home birth with my fir...So, we were all ready for a home birth with my first when low and behold he had his own plan and arrived 5wks early (vaginally non-medicated), spent 10days in the NICU and has been perfect ever since. The second round I was "advised" to have my child at a birthing center due to previous experience, then one thing led to another and Isaac was born via emergency c-section...I was THANKFUL for his safety, but saddened by it, too...however we found this girl just couldn't give birth to an 11 pounder without help!
so...thanks for sharing C Jane's story. I think it's beautiful. I also think it's wonderful that you've been able to have (most) of your kiddos at home. But most of all I'm just always thankful for a healthy and happy birth story.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03210820513382353417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2881946726572684504.post-3936494971931392082010-05-08T15:27:04.759-07:002010-05-08T15:27:04.759-07:00Deb cracks me up...

Here's what I've decided: I have no desire to do it. :) I'm still hoping some day I'm brave enough to have a child epidural free, but it's not that. It's just the thought of being in my home without medical professionals to save me and/or the baby if something went horribly wrong. But, I do admire people like you and I'm still your friend, no worries. And I'm some one who gives their kids sort of weird names.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11803092425849978125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2881946726572684504.post-34902084394242517012010-05-07T21:23:46.721-07:002010-05-07T21:23:46.721-07:00I don't think I could ever be brave enough to ...I don't think I could ever be brave enough to have a baby at home, even though all my deliveries go without any problems at all.

I had smith with NO epidural and while it was an amazing experience that I would never change, it is also something I will never do again. I was proud of myself for doing it and I'm glad I did, but NEVER AGAIN. Since having him I have opted for the pain free deliveries.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11803092425849978125noreply@blogger.com
